Hi, welcome to creelphoto. Here is a little bit about myself, and my life as a storyteller. I’ve been working in the TV/Film business for over 20 years, first as an actress and then as a producer. (imdb.com). I studied great stories and characters of history at UCLA and then graduated with an MFA in film and television. I co-founded a production company that financed and produced 10 successful independent features, which proved to be my real world film school.
When the company was acquired by Lionsgate, I took the opportunity to get behind the camera. I focused on photography and directing (OFFSIDE). My natural curiosity led me to shoot portraits and events, and a new business was born. I’ve also brought my passion and experience with film to my clients, by offering motion picture film packages.
I also enjoy developing and producing content for clients such as Yahoo!, Nokia, The Learning Channel and Food Network.
I established a non-profit photography program in 2001 called photopiece that has created a place for teenagers in downtown LA to find their passion for storytelling. The program is now growing to places like rural Oregon, Ecuador and Baja Mexico. My life’s work is to tell stories that inspire people, and inspire youth to do the same.
Stories can be told in a single frame as with still photography, or in many frames per second, using film. Either way, my goal is to frame your story and your life in a compelling and artistic way.
